Vintage lumber

As the green revolution continues, a popular choice for flooring is floor boards resawn from antique beams. We work closely with a company that disassembles old homes, barns and factories. The structural timbers that are pulled from these vintage buildings is often old growth lumber. The lumber is then "sliced" into floor boards.

The skinny on new kitchen floors.

Many of our clients have a difficult decision to make when they choose to replace their floors. I've heard many people warn against using wood on the kitchen floor....nonsense. Well, I guess it depends on the species, the finish and the type of use the floor will get. If you have a 20 kids who all wear tap shoes or metal cleats then....not a good idea.
